My name is Lauren Chapman. I am an author, a designer, an editor, a journalist and a photographer. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in December 2008, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Graphic Design and Journalism. I am currently attending Carnegie Mellon University, studying for a Master of Design in Communication Planning and Information Design (May 2011).

My focus is on clear communication, storytelling, information visualization, system organization, communication strategies, the rhetoric of design, and education. I believe design should be clear, understandable, functional, and beautiful. I plan to teach within the crossroads of English & Design at the University level.
