My name is Lauren Chapman. I am an author, a designer, an editor, a journalist and a photographer. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in December 2008, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Graphic Design and Journalism. I am currently attending Carnegie Mellon University, studying for a Master of Design in Communication Planning and Information Design (May 2011).

My focus is on transformation through visual and verbal means. I'm interested in clear communication, storytelling, information visualization, system organization, communication strategies, the rhetoric of design, and education. I believe design should be clear, understandable, functional, and beautiful. I plan to teach within the crossroads of English & Design at the University level.
